Information products are easy to ship and deal with. They rarely get damaged in shipping

as they order without any shipping cost involved.

Information products have a high mark-up because people are not paying for the format

inside. Therefore, actual production costs are not relevant and can not be applied when
dealing with these types of products.
5) It can be used as a lead generator.
No matter what type of business you are in, you can produce an information product which
is used as a lead generator. Thousands of consultants in all different fields have
found that once they packaged up their knowledge and experience in an information product

The disadvantage of creating your own product is the TIME involved in doing so. You have
to do the research, experience the results, create the products, and more. Then, you have
to create the marketing materials to go with it. It can take a very serious time
committment to create your own products. Many people either don't have the time or
aren't willing to spend the time doing this.
